About Me

I am a Strasburg native, graduating from Strasburg High School in 1979.  I went on to James Madison University in Harrisonburg and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance in 1983.  Along with my 35 year banking career, primarily as a Commercial Loan Officer for First Bank’s Main Office in Strasburg, I am also a Certified Financial Planner. 

In addition to providing the local community with guidance and advice on banking services, my education and work experience have also proven to be invaluable to my personal success in real estate investing, which began in 1984. I have lived here all my life and know the people of Strasburg, Shenandoah County and surrounding areas extremely well. I love the area and am dedicated to this community. I strongly believe the key to success in both banking and real estate is being committed to exceptional customer service that only comes from getting to know people and fully understanding their needs.

I have two grown children and 4 grandchildren. I am very active at St. Paul Lutheran Church where I serve as Church Treasurer, member of the Finance Committee and Executive Committee. During my time at the Bank, I was actively involved with numerous charitable and civic organizations.

I have a unique skill set that will be a huge benefit to my clients.  In addition to my banking and finance background, I have years of experience in new home construction, extensive home renovations, single and multi-family investment properties as well as commercial real estate. I am happy to be your trusted resource to guide you through the complex maze of real estate options and decisions, whether buying, selling, building, or investing. I am also an avid fan of all Washington sports teams, enjoy travelling, going to the beach, playing golf when I can find time and looking at real estate!
